Why Doesn't HostX Change the WHMCS Product Price? Print

  • 0

This behavior is intentional.

WHMCS always uses its own product pricing during the ordering and checkout process. If HostX were to reduce the displayed price only, the pricing table would show one price while the shopping cart and checkout would display another.

For example:

Pricing Table

  • $100.00
  • $90.00

Checkout

  • $100.00

This mismatch would create confusion for customers and lead to an inconsistent purchasing experience.

To avoid this, HostX never overrides the product prices stored in WHMCS.

Recommended Way to Offer a Discount

If your goal is to actually sell a product at a discounted price, the recommended workflow is:

  1. Set the discounted selling price in WHMCS.
  2. Configure the desired discount percentage in the HostX Discount Manager.

Example

Suppose the original product price is $100.00, and you want to offer a 10% discount.

Step 1

Set the WHMCS product price to:

$90.91

Step 2

Configure a 10% discount in the HostX Discount Manager.

HostX will display:

  • $100.00
  • $90.91

The customer will then see $90.91 consistently on:

  • Product pricing tables
  • Product pages
  • Shopping cart
  • Checkout
  • Order summary
