Overview
The HostX Discount Manager is designed to display promotional discounts without modifying the actual product prices stored in WHMCS.
Instead of changing the WHMCS product price, the Discount Manager calculates and displays a higher original (strike-through) price based on the current WHMCS selling price and the configured discount percentage.
This ensures that pricing remains consistent throughout the entire ordering process.
How It Works
The Discount Manager uses the current WHMCS product price as the final selling price.
When you configure a discount percentage, HostX:
- Calculates the original price based on the configured discount.
- Displays the original price as a crossed-out (strike-through) price.
- Continues to use the existing WHMCS product price as the customer's final price.
Example
If your WHMCS product price is $90.91 and you configure a 10% discount, HostX will display:
Original Price: $100.00
Sale Price: $90.91
The customer will see the same selling price throughout the pricing table, cart, and checkout.
