Step 1 - open ftp or cpanel
Step 2 - go to following [/admin/templates/adminx/css] - according to your admin directory
Step -3 Remove _new from last so that it will become adminx_overrides.css.
step -4 After rename it will look like this. now you can write any custom css rule in it and will not be override in future
updates.
